Trio Out for the Season: Latest Oxford United Team and Injury News for Visit of Wrexham

Oxford United welcomed back an injured player in their previous game against Derby but are still without some key players for this fixture against Wrexham.

Meanwhile, the Welsh side, who are still pushing for the playoffs, have a few faces sidelined for the trip to Grenoble Road.

Oxford United Injury News

Tyler Goodrham – Ankle

Tyler Goodrham has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on his ankle.

Brian De Keersmaecker – Shoulder

Brian De Keersmaecker will also miss the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on his shoulder injury.

Przemyslaw Placheta – Hamstring

Another out for the season is winger, Przemyslaw Placheta. The Pole, who has been plagued with injuries in the second half of the campaign, picked up a hamstring injury in training last week.

Nik Prelec – Ankle

Forward Nik Prelec rolled his ankle in training but Matt Bloomfield hasn’t said how serious the setback could be.

Oxford’s Returning Players

Jack Currie – Ankle

Left-back Jack Currie has missed the last four games with an ankle injury and will need an operation in the summer but Bloomfield believes he could be in contention should he feel the need to bring him back in.

Wrexham Injury News

Ben Sheaf – Knee

Midfielder Ben Sheaf has been sidelined with a medial ligament knee injury since February and is still not back in full training.

Liberato Cacace – Hamstring

Also out since February is New Zealand international, Liberato Cacace. The defender has been sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Aaron James – Knee

Young defender Aaron James has missed most of the campaign with a serious knee injury.

Zak Vyner – Groin

Defender Zak Vyner has missed the last two games with a groin problem, having previously been on the bench during the defeat against Southampton.

Tom O’Connor – Hamstring

Fellow defender Tom O’Connor is out for the season after being recalled from his loan spell with Peterborough due to a hamstring injury.
