Last time out, a late Jannik Vestergaard equaliser stole a point for Leicester City. Another dull and anti-climactic performance from the Foxes, as they couldn’t step up in their first trip to Wrexham since 1982. With plenty of injuries and an uncompetitive performance, supporters’ dissatisfaction is once again on the rise. In addition to this, the lack of business and increasing reports about financial issues make for a real frustrating future. Nonetheless, here is the Leicester Predicted Lineup as they welcome Oxford United to King Power Stadium.

How Leicester City Have Lined Up Recently
In North Wales, Marti Cifuentes made just two changes from the squad that succumbed to defeat in Coventry. Jakub Stolarczyk once again remained in between the sticks, as City’s 22 league games without a clean sheet continue. A centre-back partnership of Caleb Okoli and Jannik Vestergaard also started, as Ben Nelson was moved across to left-back. Cifuentes’ faith in Luke Thomas seems to be decreasing by the week, and after another mistake against Coventry, it’s no surprise that Nelson featured out wide. Meanwhile, at right-back, another change came with Ricardo Pereira out for Hamza Choudhury.
The midfield trio of Oliver Skipp, Jordan James and Bobby De Cordova-Reid also started. Due to injuries and Harry Winks’ absence, these profiles have become a mainstay at the heart of the Foxes’ play. However, with both Skipp and James taken off early at the Racecourse ground, change is likely. Out wide, Abdul Fatawu and Stephy Maviddi continued their struggles for form, with another disappointing performance. A dominant duo two years ago aren’t experiencing the same freedom in front of goal. In terms of the centre-forward, Jordan Ayew was preferred to Patson Daka once again.

Leicester City’s Recent Form And Tactics
In terms of the game, neither side really impressed in the first 45. Just three shots on target for the two sides, with little really troubling either keeper. Perhaps, the best chance came the visitor’s way with De Cordova-Reid and Ayew combining well, but the Jamaican’s shot was well smothered. As for the second half, it was Wrexham. The home side had plenty of shots with 11 sent towards Stolarczyk, which equals a 0.92 XG. Despite getting the best of City and even taking the lead through Lewis O’Brien, it wasn’t enough to take all three points. A late ball sent into the box by Ayew was met by the head of Okoli and finished off with a moment of brilliance from Vestergaard.

Despite the shortcomings of the performance, this wasn’t the worst aspect of the evening. Due to injury, both Skipp and James came off early, with Choudhury into his more natural midfield position. James, in particular, will be a major miss for City, as his numbers in front of goal are exceptional. The Welshman has found the net on nine occasions this season, with three assists, which easily makes him the club’s most dangerous threat. His midfield partner, Skipp, has also been pivotal. The former Spurs-man keeps the game ticking and provides plenty of energy.
Leicester City Team News
As confirmed by Cifuentes, absences are an expectation heading into this Championship fixture. As mentioned prior, both Skipp and James are out, and are likely to be replaced by Louis Page and Hamza Choudhury. 15-year-old midfielder Darren Motsi also trained with the first team this week, which suggests he could be in contention soon. In addition to this, long-term absentees include Victor Kristiansen, Aaron Ramsey and Harry Souttar.
