Oxford United Injury News

Matt Phillips – Thigh

Gary Rowett is yet to comment on a return for Matt Phillips, but the winger has been back in training, so he could be close.

Brodie Spencer – Foot

Northern Ireland international Brodie Spencer remains sidelined with a foot injury but, like Phillips, is back on the grass.

Cameron Brannagan – Calf

Skipper Cameron Brannagan is another to miss the trip to the Valley, with the midfielder still recovering from a calf injury.

Hidde ter Avest – Hamstring

Defender Hidde ter Avest was substituted off at half-time against Preston with a suspected hamstring injury. The Dutchman has only recently returned from a spell on the sidelines.

Oxford’s Returning Players

Przemyslaw Placheta – Calf

However, there is some good news, with Polish winger Przemyslaw Placheta expected to return for Charlton. The 27-year-old, who scored in his last game against Ipswich, has missed the last three fixtures with a calf problem.

Charlton Injury News

Amari’i Bell – Muscle

Defender Amari’i Bell was forced off in Charlton’s draw against Swansea back in November. He did return against league leaders Coventry but was again replaced after just 30 minutes.

Reece Burke – Foot

Fellow defender Reece Burke was also forced off against the Swans. The 29-year-old has managed just eight league appearances since his move from Luton in the summer.

Charlie Kelman – Hamstring

Striker Charlie Kelman has been absent since picking up a hamstring in that game against Swansea. Last season’s top scorer for Leyton Orient has yet to get going for Charlton.

Josh Edwards – Ankle

In mid-October, former Dunfermline Athletic full-back Josh Edwards underwent surgery on an ankle injury. He is working his way back to full fitness, with the surgery having reportedly sped up the process, but he remains sidelined.

Matty Godden – Knee

Last season’s top scorer for the Addicks is also missing with a knee injury. Matt Godden required surgery as a result and has yet to feature this season.
