Second Half

Both teams to score and a draw was also our recommended best bet for this Super Sunday clash.

Chelsea can take a lot of credit for their performance. It was a reckless challenge from Caicedo, but the remaining players worked incredibly hard until full-time. Arsenal huffed and puffed, but that’s a good result for Chelsea.

Sanchez takes the final goal kick, with the referee blowing the final whistle.

A pair of dangerous crosses from Arsenal see Chelsea defend them well.

4 minutes added-on.

Another smart save from Sanchez, leads Gyokeres to slide in for the rebound. The Swedish striker ends up fouling the goalkeeper and receiving a yellow card.

A good effort from Delap draws a smart save from Raya. Arsenal are having the lion’s share of possession, but the home side still looks dangerous.

71 minutes on the clock, and the peripheral figure of Eze leaves the pitch, to be replaced by Viktor Gyokeres.

Reece James has played very well so far, especially since the sending-off.

Arsenal are applying plenty of pressure as we approach 69 minutes, but Chelsea are defending resolutely. The game remains 1-1.

A teasing cross from Saka is met by Mikel Merino, who nods home. A swift Arsenal move and they are right back in this game. 1-1 with a man advantage.

Chelsea are working brilliantly with and without the ball, and this leads to Arteta bringing on Noni Madueke and Martin Odegaard to replace Martinelli and Zubimendi.

A foul from Lewis-Skelly brings a yellow card. Soon after, Liam Delap replaces Joao Pedro.

Cucurella again blocks Saka. He needs to be tackle perfect for the rest of the second half.

A deceptive deep cross from James saw Pedro draw a smart save from Raya. The resulting corner from James was flicked in at the near post by Chalobah. What a start to the second half!

A change at half-time with Estevao making way for Garnacho, and Myles Lewis-Skelly replacing Calafiori, who was on a booking.

First Half

Right on half-time, Mosquera went down in a heap holding his face. The replay showed his face wasn’t touched. It was a bad-tempered 45 minutes, with Chelsea on top until the red card. Arsenal will be confident going into the second half.

A swift breakaway from Arsenal saw Rice tee up Martinelli, with Robert Sanchez making a smart save.

Chelsea need half-time, it feels like they could fall apart if they conceed now.

Moises Caicedo has received his marching orders after a lengthy check. That’s a huge blow for Chelsea!

A ball into Mikel Merino sees Caicedo fly in and catch the Arsenal man, with VAR checking the foul as both Caicedo and Merino receive treatment. The referee has shown the yellow, but the referee is checking the incident following a VAR recommendation.

Following good work from Estevao, Enzo Fernandez fired his shot straight at David Raya.

Joao Pedro stole the ball from a hesitating Hincapie, only to get the ball caught under his feet, and the chance go begging.

After having his pocket picked, Calafiori is booked for pulling back Reece James.

As the game reaches the 25-minute mark, it’s scrappy, with Arsenal dominating possession, but Chelsea looking dangerous.

Despite being on a yellow card, Cucurella is still sticking to Saka like glue.

A cross from Joao Pedro saw the ball fall on the edge of the Area to Estevao, who couldn’t get over the ball and skied it over the crossbar.

Not much has happened in the first 15 minutes. It’s a very tactical affair so far.

Estevao looks brilliant, when he drops into those little pockets of space to receive the ball.

A corner kick found its way to Saka on the corner of the area, who fired off a shot, saved easily by Sanchez in the Chelsea goal.

Cucurella is sticking to Saka early, but a late challenge sees the Chelsea man go in to the referee’s book.

Caicedo looks fired up early, but it’s a niggly game so far.

A smart move from Chelsea saw Reece James draw a free-kick from Zubimendi, with Anthony Taylor brandishing the game’s first yellow card.

Just minutes away from kick-off, this looks set to be a game full of action, with both teams in form. Arsenal will be tough to stop, but Chelsea are also in great form. This game will be won in the midfield today.
