Arsenal’s 2025/26 Premier League season has been impressive thus far, sitting six points clear of Chelsea in the Premier League, while remaining unbeaten in the Champions League, and reaching the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. Next up for the Gunners is a trip to West London to face second-place Chelsea. Here is our Arsenal predicted lineup for the London Derby.

How Arsenal Have Lined Up Recently

On Sunday, November 23, Arsenal destroyed Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 at the Emirates with an Eberechi Eze hat-trick, helping the Gunners restore their six-point cushion over second-place Chelsea. They followed that up with a win over Bayern Munich. 

In both recent wins, the Gunners lined up in their familiar 4-3-3 formation. Against Spurs, David Raya started in goal, while Jurrien Timber, Piero Hincapie, William Saliba, and Riccardo Calafiori formed the defence.

In midfield, it was Eze, Martin Zubimendi, and Declan Rice dominating for Arteta’s team. Out wide, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard supported Mikel Merino in the central striking role. In the Champions League against Bayern Munich, Mikel Arteta made two changes, with Cristhian Mosquera and Myles Lewis-Skelly starting in defence.

In the pre-match press conference, Arteta discussed the possible return of Gabriel Jesus, Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, as well as the fitness of Leandro Trossard:

“There’s another test today, we have to see how he’s feeling. It doesn’t look much, so we still have a few hours and we’ll have to see,” said Arteta regarding the fitness of Trossard. When asked if the Belgian would be available, the Arsenal boss said: “There’s a potential chance.”

Discussing a behind-closed-doors friendly: “It did happen. Gabi [Jesus] participated, and Ethan [Nwaneri] as well, because he wanted some minutes. We took the opportunity; they wanted a bit of exposure to competition, and providing that was very positive,” said Arteta.

When asked about Viktor Gyokeres’ and Kai Havertz’s availability, the Arsenal boss said: “We have another day tomorrow, so let’s see how everybody is tomorrow.”
