New manager Rob Edwards has been appointed to steady the ship and will be hoping to build some momentum in his first game in charge, while Crystal Palace come into the game hoping to continue their solid start. Last time out in the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, Wolves lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. Sam Johnstone started in goal with a back five of Hugo Bueno, Toti Gomes, Ladislav Krejčí, Santiago Bueno, and Jackson Tchatchoua.

João Gomes and André returned to the midfield alongside Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, while Hwang Hee-chan and Jørgen Strand Larsen led the forward line.

Wolves Recent Form And Tactics

Wolves’ recent form has been poor, with no wins in the opening 11 games and just two points on the board. Edwards has a job on his hands to turn things around.

The expectation is that he will try to solidify the defence and push for more high-energy pressing, especially in the final third, as he tries to reshape the club’s identity.

Injuries To Consider

During the pre-match press conference, Edwards said: “Everyone has come back, some arriving today, and they’re OK. Doherty has progressed well, but won’t be ready for tomorrow. Bentley has an ankle issue and will be out for a couple of weeks.” Rodrigo Gomes is also unavailable due to injury.
