How Every Chelsea Player Performed in November International Break

Trevoh Chalobah

The defender was called up to the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel but didn’t break into the eleven despite some of the rotation. Didn’t get subbed on at all over the two weeks but should be fresh for Chelsea’s upcoming matches at least.

Malo Gusto

Was left on the bench for the strong win over Ukraine before playing the full 90 against Azerbaijan and looking very good. He nabbed two assists in the 3-1 win and marauded up and down the right flank for the duration. Was very involved with 105 total touches.

Dujuan Richards

Called up by Jamaica for their CONCACAF qualifiers, the attacker came off the bench in both outings, only totalling around 50 minutes as a wide man. He didn’t have much time to impress but did managed to make a key pass in his limited time.

Marc Cucurella

Started at left-back and played the full 90 minutes across both of Spain’s matches. Didn’t contribute much in the 4-0 win over Georgia but was defensively sound with two interceptions and four clearances. Was a bit more involved in the 2-2 draw with Turkiye, grabbing an assist with his one big chance created.

While Blues fans would have hoped for a rest, the former Brighton man is an absolute machine who may gut it out and feature in the next three matches for the club.

Under-21s

Josh Acheampong

Started and finished both of England U-21s qualifiers. Was a solid force at the back for two clean sheets and had an immaculate 99% passing accuracy against Slovakia in a dominant 4-0 win.

Tyrique George

Another impressive international break for the Cobham graduate. Scored one and assisted one across both outings. Continues to look dangerous and always seems to pop up with a goal contribution, even for Chelsea where he leads per 90 output.

Jamie Gittens

Will be disappointed not to have gained a goal or assist but he was a defensive presence from the winger spot and managed to get a lot of touches and dribbles against Slovakia. Only created one big chance across his minutes.

Marc Guiu

Called up for the Spanish U-21 side but didn’t see the pitch.

Gaga Slonina

Played for the USA U-21s against Serbia in a 1-0 defeat but came away with his head held high. Made four saves, three from inside the box and was capable at playing out from the back.

Other Impressive Performances

Jesse Derry

Signed somewhat under the radar from Crystal Palace over the summer, the attacker has been impressing at youth level. He had a hat trick for the England U-19s against Latvia and chipped in with an assist against Scotland in a dominant stretch for the team.

Shumaira Mheuka

Another academy standout, Shumaira Mheuka grabbed four goals for the England U-19s across three fixtures, he scored a brace against Lithuania and another against Scotland.
