‘We are going to have a problem’: Amorim Addresses Impending Issue for Man Utd

The roller coaster ride at Manchester United has shown no signs of slowing in recent years, even with the arrival of Ruben Amorim. This season began with inconsistencies and the departure of more players. Recently, the performances have improved, which sees the Red Devils in eighth place. Amorim’s summer signing Benjamin Sesko was forced off in the club’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur, leaving United short in attack. Man Utd are also set to lose three players to the African Cup of Nations. Amorim discussed the injury to Sesko and the AFCON situations.

Speaking after the dramatic 2-2 draw at Tottenham, Amorim was asked if the club would be active in the January window:

“We have to check everything, we have to check what’s happened with Ben.

“Of course we are going to have a problem [with AFCON], but we already knew [that]. Managing that situation is going to be hard, but let’s see when the window is open if we can improve the team and try to repair something. Until then, we have to take the chance,” said the Manchester United boss.
