There’s an expectation that the manager will rotate for this midweek fixture in order to keep his squad fresh. Early in the season, there were almost two seperate eleven’s which has been streamlined to a smaller unit recently. Some areas of the pitch are benefiting from having a settled approach but the hellacious schedule is testing the squad’s limits.

Kieffer Moore is expected to start up front with competition to see who partners him with Josh Windass in decent form. The defenders will have to switch but that’s one area with enough options to handle rotation especially with the emergence of Dominic Hyam.

Arthur Okonkwo started the season as the rotational goalkeeper but has stepped in as the first option but he did get rested in the previous round of this tournament and could be benched this time around as well.
