Reliable Journalist Reveals What Is Holding up the Xavi Simons Deal

Chelsea have been one of the marquee clubs in this summer window with their chase for young dynamo Xavi Simons becoming one of the bigger recent stories. Despite the Blues getting a deal done already for fellow Dutch international Jorrel Hato, there’s been no such movement on the RB Leipzig man, and now we know why.

His numbers speak for themselves; he was stellar at youth levels and recreated that in the Bundesliga, where he managed 44 goal contributions in 76 appearances for Leipzig. He was equally impressive in the Eredivisie for PSV, where he managed 33 contributions in 48 appearances. Adding in his youth statistics, he’s totalled 116 goal involvements in 176 outings at club level.

Adding this kind of output to a lineup already hosting Palmer, Estevao, and Pedro, who has five strikes in five appearances, would make Chelsea one of the most dangerous attacks in the league.
