Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially welcomed Domenico Teti as part of a major shake-up in their football leadership structure ahead of the 2025/26 season. Wolves recently parted ways with Sporting Director Matt Hobbs, with the position abolished in favour of Teti’s new role as Technical Director.

Teti arrives at Molineux with a strong pedigree, the Express & Star writes, having held recruitment roles at clubs across Europe, including Sampdoria, Novara, APOEL Nicosia, Hellas Verona, and most recently Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia, where he worked with current Wolves manager Vítor Pereira. While at Sampdoria, Teti helped to bring in high-profile talents such as Mauro Icardi and Shkodran Mustafi, while also facilitating the Daniel Podence move from Wolves to Al-Shabab last summer.

The club will now rely on a more tightly integrated leadership model, combining Pereira’s tactical oversight with Teti’s recruitment acumen and strong ties to Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute agency. Wolves see this as a chance to modernise their approach to squad building and player development.
