Leicester Predicted Lineup vs Wolves for April 26

After ending their eight-game losing streak against Brighton and Hove Albion, Leicester City’s dismal season would continue next time out. Here is the Leicester Predicted Lineup as they travel to the Molineux Stadium to take on an in-form Wolves side.

How Leicester Have Lined Up Recently

Ruud Van Nistelrooy reverted to the 4-2-3-1 system at Brighton and would use it again against the Reds. Mads Hermansen reprised his role as Leicester’s number one, despite his error leading to the defeat. Conor Coady and Wout Faes formed a centre-back partnership, whilst goalscorer at Brighton, Caleb Okoli, was left out. Academy graduate Luke Thomas started on the left and had a splendid performance against Mohammed Salah. Meanwhile, Ricardo Pereira returned to the squad in the inverted full-back role.

In the pivot, Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumaré started together once again, as Harry Winks is still out of the squad. Bilal El Khannouss started in the attacking midfielder role, which saw him have greater importance throughout. Bobby Decordova Reid and Stephy Mavididi then started off the flanks, with the latter impressing against Conor Bradley. Leicester legend Jamie Vardy then led the line before announcing his intention to leave the club this week.

Leicester’s Recent Form And Tactics

Despite the 4-2-3-1’s success away on the coast, trying to replicate the game plan versus Arne Slot’s Liverpool was always going to be hard. This was shown throughout as the home side conceded a total of 28 shots and an expected goal tally of 2.57.

It felt inevitable that the title chasers would take the lead, and they eventually did through Trent Alexander-Arnold. Keeping the game at a draw until the last 15 minutes could be seen as an achievement for such a poor side, but it was evident the away side never got out of first gear. In addition to this, Leicester only managed five shots, with none on target.

With relegation to the second tier now confirmed, all sights will be set on next season. Whilst the future of Van Nistelrooy is still undetermined, many of the players will be looking to impress ahead of the transfer window.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

As revealed by the Dutchman, there is a new injury to the squad. Following a terrific performance versus Liverpool, Mavididi is set to be sidelined with a muscle injury. This leaves a space for the returning Kasey McAteer or 15-year-old Wonderkid Jeremy Monga.
