This is the Chelsea predicted lineup for their third consecutive London derby in a row in the Premier League when they take on an interesting Brentford side. The 1-0 win over Tottenham provided a much-needed revamp for the Blues after a dismal defeat to Arsenal and an extended international break. With some key players back from injury, and some getting re-injured, things are still in the balance for the side as they aim to continue their charge for Champions League football.
Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Brentford in Premier League Tie
How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
Robert Sanchez has been the goalkeeper in the league while Filip Jorgensen is the man for the European competition. Marc Cucurella, Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo, Malo Gusto, and Reece James have all started across the back line. James has also been in midfield along with Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

With injuries slightly out of the way there was a more standard attacking line up with Cole Palmer through the middle, Pedro Neto on the right, and Jadon Sancho on the left, the trio was supporting Nicolas Jackson up front. Tyrique George and Christopher Nkunku had filled in recently to help with absences.
Chelsea Recent Form & Tactics
Enzo Maresca reverted back to his standard 4-2-3-1 setup after the international break with all his key players back. He had briefly used something like a 4-3-3 when James was in midfield but returned to the normal possession-focused 3-2-4-1 look against Tottenham. This can shift into a 3-3-4 depending on the opponent.

You may not be able to tell based on the general vibes in the fanbase but the Blues have won five of their last six matches, their only loss came to a machine-like Arsenal side who exploited all of Maresca’s weaknesses and squad limitations. Defensively they have been a lot better than ever under the manager, keeping clean sheets against Leicester, the Lilywhites, and Copenhagen. It’s also rare that they draw a blank nowadays when goalscoring was a huge issue under both Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea Injuries to Consider
PremierInjuries has three absentees but only two from the senior squad. Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended while Romeo Lavia suffered a setback in training after making a cameo against the Gunners before the international break. Fofana was left out of the squad entirely on Thursday so he appears to have suffered another injury after missing a chunk of the season already.
