Team News, Form and Prediction as Oxford United Travel to Hull

Oxford United will be looking to capitalise on their impressive display at Norwich last time out when the U’s travel to Hull on Wednesday night.

Gary Rowett’s side picked up a well-earned point at Carrow Road and while the stats show a dominant display from the Canaries, it was far from it.

The draw also ended a run of three successful defeats. However, the U’s are now without a win in eight league games.

Hull drew on the road at Bristol City last time out, despite playing most of the game with ten men. The Tigers have two wins, two draws and two defeats from their last six league games and are unbeaten in their last two home games.

However, Hull have just three wins at the KCOM this season, picking up 16 points on home turf, which is the lowest in the division. Oxford’s point at Norwich mean they have now picked up ten on their travels this season.

The U’s have no new injury concerns for this game, with Greg Leigh, Joe Bennett and Tom Bradshaw still sidelined.

João Pedro was sent off just one minute after opening the scoring at Bristol City, so he is suspended. Eliot Matazo, Louie Barry, Liam Millar and Mohamed Belloumi are all injured.

Oxford won the reverse fixture at Grenoble Road in what was the only victory in 15 before Des Buckingham lost his job. That was a first Oxford win in four meetings between the two sides, while the U’s haven’t won in the Humber on their last eight visits.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cummings, Ciaron Brown, Michal Helik, Elliott Moore, Peter Kioso, Will Vaulks, Cameron Brannagan, Matt Phillips, Ole Romeny, Przemyslaw Placheta, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Hull City 1-2 Oxford United
