How Liverpool Have Lined-up Recently
Alisson Becker is Liverpool’s starting goalkeeper. Trent Alexander-Arnold starts at right-back whilst Andy Robertson was benched for Kostas Tsimikas last match. Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are almost always the centre-backs.

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are holding midfielders, with Dominik Szoboszlai roaming just ahead.
Against Newcastle United, Cody Gakpo started on the bench. Luis Diaz took his spot at left-wing, seeing Diogo Jota start at striker. Mohamed Salah unsurprisingly played at right-wing.
Liverpool Injuries and Absentees to Consider
Liverpool currently have a couple of injuries.
Arne Slot has confirmed that Gakpo’s availability could be at risk.
Joe Gomez has undergone surgery on a hamstring injury and will be out for the long-term, potentially returning just before the end of the season as Slot reveals.

Meanwhile, Conor Bradley sustained a muscle injury in the 2-2 Premier League draw at Aston Villa. Liverpool’s manager revealed that the right-back “is out for a few weeks. I cannot tell exactly how many but it is clear that he went off with a muscle injury and that it is going to take a while before he is back”. With Alexander-Arnold firmly the number one right-back, it shouldn’t be a huge loss.
Tyler Morton is out with a shoulder injury.
Konate, Mac Allister, Elliott, and Robertson are all one booking away from being suspended for the second-leg at Anfield.
