Chelsea Team News

Rob Sanchez starts in goal behind a back line of Malo Gusto, Tosin Adarabioyo, Trevoh Chalobah, and Marc Cucurella. Moises Caicedo is partnered in midfield by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with Pedro Neto Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, and Christopher Nkunku making up the attack.

Filip Jorgensen is on the bench alongside Levi Colwill, Aaron Anselmino, Josh Acheampong, Ishe Samuels-Smith, new signing Mathis Amougou, Enzo Fernandez, Tyrique George, and Noni Madueke.

Chelsea Lineup: Sanchez, Cucurella, Tosin, Chalobah, Gusto, Caicedo. Dewsbury-Hall, Neto, Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku

Notable Changes

It is partially a second-string side and partially an injury-riddled one. Dewsbury-Hall comes in to rest Enzo while Colwill gets some rest with Chalobah coming back in. Sanchez also starts after being dropped for Jorgensen against West Ham which could solidify his spot as the cup keeper for the rest of the term.

The big issue is the lack of attacking options. Nicolas Jackson is completely absent as is Marc Guiu leaving Nkunku to come in and attempt to play as the striker. This isn’t a natural position for him and if he needs rest the manager will have to get creative for solutions.

The only other move is that Neto returns to the starters after an impressive cameo against the Irons with he and Madueke continuing to compete out on the right.
