He claims that this is going to be a straight loan with no buy option clause inserted in it, meaning that Tel will go back to the German club in the summer.

The journalist also adds that the “player (is) on his way” with his agent to join the North London club and complete the transfer before the window closes. This is going to be quite an impressive signing for Tottenham Hotspur, especially considering that Tel had reportedly rejected them earlier in the transfer window.

The 19-year-old Frenchman joined Bayern Munich in 2022 and has been maintaining his development with the German club. He has made 83 appearances for the Bundesliga heavyweights in his career and has 18 goal contributions (12 goals, six assists) in 60 league games for them in the German top flight.

Tel has been recruited because of his ability to play in multiple positions. With Dominic Solanke ruled out for the forseeable future with an injury, Tel can take up that striker role at Tottenham to add more firepower to their frontline. He also boasts the ability to operate on the left-wing thanks to his pace and trickery, with the squad set to gain more variety to their attacking line going forward.
