Celtic Predicted Lineup vs Dundee FC on January 14

Next up for Celtic is a trip to Dens Park as they look to continue their excellent domestic form. The Dens have had an inconsistent season, sitting eight with 26 points. They started off in sensational form but struggled after losing Luke McCowan to Brendan Rodgers’ side. In the reverse fixture the Bhoys came out on top with a 2-0 win. How will they approach this one though? On Last Word on Football, we provide the answers with our Celtic predicted lineup vs Dundee.

Celtic Predicted Lineup vs Dundee FC

How Celtic have Lined up Recently

Celtic were forced into making several changes at the weekend courtesy of an injury crisis in the wide areas. Kyogo started on the right wing although played more a floating role, with Adam Idah in the centre and Yang out on the left.

In midfield, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Arne Engels took to the field, combining for the first time in twelve games.

The backline saw the re-introduction of Alex Valle, with Auston Trusty, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnson alongside him.

Celtic Recent Form and Tactics

Since their humbling hammering at Ibrox, Celtic have racked up three wins on the bounce with nine goals scored and only one conceded, which came from the penalty spot. It sets them up nicely for the following weeks with major colossal matches against Young Boys and Aston Villa on the European stage.

Tactically, there have been little changes. However, notably there was a slight intricacy in the way Celtic’s front line approached the game at the weekend. With Kyogo out on the right instead of a traditional winger, Celtic looked to rotate more up front. Idah often dropped deep, as did Kyogo who played a very fluid role positionally.

Other than that, it was much of the same from a relentless side sitting fifteen points clear at the top.

Injuries to Consider

Nicolas Kuhn will return to the squad with Daizen Maeda’s availability not concrete yet. Luis Palma and James Forrest remain out of contention.
