Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs Arsenal for December 4

Unbeaten in his three games in charge, Ruben Amorim will face his first acid test at the helm of Manchester United this Wednesday, December 4 (8.15PM KO) as the Red Devils travel to North London to face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. Here is the Manchester United predicted lineup for the clash.

Manchester United Predicted Lineup for Arsenal Test

How Manchester United Have Lined-up Recently

Amorim has started the process of changing United’s shape, moving to a 3-4-2-1 formation in line with the rest of his managerial career to date.

André Onana is excelling in goal, with a back three of player of the month Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez providing stability. Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot have been the Portuguese coach’s go-to wing-backs in Amorim’s two Premier League games to date.

In midfield, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte have rotated in the deeper positions, with Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford doing the same in midfield. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have both been given a game to impress in the number 9 position.

Manchester United Recent Form and Tactics

Manchester United are unbeaten in six games in all competitions since the dismissal of Erik ten Hag in late October. Whilst there is a lot of tactical work to be done in order to see the team firing on all cylinders in the new system, there have been shoots of promise in Amorim’s tenure thus far, notably in the 4-0 win against Everton last weekend, arguably the team’s best performance this season to date.

With that being said, midfield is still an area of concern, with a lack of balance and energy an issue at times in periods of games.

Manchester United Injuries to Consider

Lény Yoro has recovered from the ankle injury that has kept him out since pre-season, although question marks remain over his match fitness, with rumours of a fresh injury setback for Luke Shaw a further concern for the Red Devils defence. Jonny Evans is carrying a knock and is extremely doubtful, whilst Victor Lindelof is ruled out with a groin injury. Mainoo and Martinez are suspended after collecting five yellow cards.
