Current Form

Borussia Dortmund have won four of their last five games. They ended up in 5th place in the Bundesliga, securing the Champions League next season as well. Borussia Dortmund played in the Champions League final in 2013, where they lost against Bayern Munich, also at Wembley Stadium. They have been the biggest surprise this year in the Champions League. Edin Terzić’s men were underdogs in almost every game and still came out on top. Being in the group with AC Milan, PSG and Newcastle, you would not expect them to come out of the toughest group. However, they were in first spot in group F with 11 points. En route to the final, Dortmund won in the knockout stage against PSV, Atlético Madrid and eventually PSG in the semifinals. The only question mark for the final is Sebastian Haller, who has returned to team training following an ankle problem. Niclas Füllkrug is their top scorer, so expect them to rely heavily on his performance.

Real Madrid have won three of their last five games. They sealed their 36th La Liga title this season. Los Banos were dominant in La Liga from the very start and deservingly won another La Liga title. Real Madrid were also group winners with a maximum of 18 points won. En route to the final, Real Madrid have won against Leipzig, Manchester City and eventually Bayern Munich in the semifinal. Carlo Ancoletti´s men are unbeaten this season in the Champions League, having 8 wins and 4 draws. Real Madrid had many injuries throughout this season, but still came out as the winners. David Alaba is still out with his ACL injury. Aurelien Tchouameni has failed to recover from his foot injury in time, so he will miss the final. The goalkeeper who saved Real Madrid so many times this season, Andriy Lunin is fighting the flu, so it is still not clear which goalkeeper should start in the final. Vinícius Júnior is their best scorer and a player to watch in the final.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Real Madrid are favorites to lift the title yet again. Considering their Champions League run this season, we believe that they will lift the Champions League trophy once again. They are a far more experienced team than Borussia Dortmund, which we believe will prevail in a game such as this one.

That being said, Real Madrid winning is a value bet.
