Ramirez Starts: Chelsea Women Predicted Lineup vs Everton

Mayra Ramirez in action against Brighton & Hove Albion in her debut

This is a Chelsea Women predicted lineup for their WSL clash with Everton on Sunday, February 4. In the reverse fixture, the Blues ran out as 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Sam Kerr, Jessie Fleming, and Aggie Beever-Jones. Two of those three will not take part in this game but you would expect the necessary quality to come from elsewhere.

How Chelsea Women Have Lined Up Recently

Hannah Hampton and Zećira Mušović have traded the goalkeeping position with the former getting a run of games before being switched out for the 4-0 win over Paris FC. The back line has seen a number of faces in it with Maren Mjelde, Jess Carter, Kadeisha Buchanan, Nathalie Björn, Ashley Lawrence, Niamh Charles, and Ève Périsset all featuring in defence.

Melanie Leupolz and Erin Cuthbert appear to be the first-choice midfield pairing with Sophie Ingle and Sjoeke Nüsken being used as rotational options. Lauren James and Fran Kirby have traded the number 10 role with Guro Reiten, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Beever-Jones and Jelena Čanković featuring in the attacking midfield.

Kirby and James have also had stints as the false nine when Mia Fishel hasn’t started but neither are likely to be that far forward with new signing Mayra Ramirez on hand to add depth up front.

Chelsea Women Recent Form and Tactics

Emma Hayes has settled on a 4-2-3-1 formation and it has brought a lot of success. Her team won every single match they had in January with relative ease. A 4-1 defeat to Arsenal Women remains their entire defeat of the entire campaign in either the WSL or the Champions League.

Goals have not been an issue with the team scoring 15 in in five outings in January and averaging over 3 strikes per game in the league so far. Defensively they have also looked somewhat better, keeping two clean sheets in a row. They have only conceded three times in their past five fixtures.

Chelsea Women Injuries to Consider

In her pre-match conference, Hayes confirmed that Leupolz will return to the squad. She also clarified that Ann-Katrin Berger, Millie Bright, and Cat Macario are still sidelined. They join the long-term absentees of Kerr and Aniek Nouwen.

Chelsea Women Predicted Lineup

With an easy-looking cup tie against second-division side Sunderland Women coming up, Hayes is likely to go as close to full strength as possible against a resilient Everton team who have one of the better goals-against tallies in the lower half of the table.
