Leicester City Predicted Lineup vs West Brom in EFL Championship

How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently

Manager Enzo Maresca has displayed levels of consistency in terms of his team selection over the past few weeks although this was not the case during their last league game against Sheffield Wednesday. The formation however has been set in stone since the first game of the season and both players and fans will now be well-versed on the set-up.

The right back to switching into a midfield role has allowed more of an offensive threat when the team are in possession. When defending, the right back moves back into this normal position. Portuguese Ricardo Pereira has adapted to this role extremely well and displayed his importance within the team.

After another disappointing performance and result against bottom-of-the-league Sheffield Wednesday, there have been some questions asked about the number of changes made for that outing, the formation adopted and whether opponents have been able to plan a successful plan to neutralise the threat of the league leaders.

Leicester City Recent Form and Tactics

The Midlands club currently sit at the top of the table with 43 points with a one-point gap between themselves and second-place Ipswich Town. The performances of late have lacked the vigour and drive of earlier games and the cutting edge up front has been apparent. There is still an eight-point gap over third place Leeds United and the Midlands club will not want this to decrease any more at this stage following their current inconsistent form. This gap stood at 14 points a few weeks ago.

Opponents West Brom currently sit in fifth place with 32 points. The Baggies have only lost one of their last 7 games, winning 5 having taken 16 points during this run. They host the leaders as one of the form teams in the Championship. They are unbeaten at home since early September.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

Long-term absentee Callum Doyle is nowhere near ready to return. Wout Faes came off struggling with an injury at halftime against Wednesday and may not be fully fit to return. He will assessed on matchday.
