“I Want to Be a Part of That”: Romano Reveals £78 Million-Rated Star Has Agreed to a Deal With Arsenal

Arsenal fans have reason to celebrate as Martin Odegaard has officially signed a new long-term contract with the club. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Norwegian midfield maestro has put pen-to-paper on a deal extending his stay at North London until June 2028.

A Clear Choice

The 24-year-old playmaker expressed that signing a new contract was an easy choice for him. He said: “Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me, what we are doing right now as a club is special, and I want to be a part of that”. This comes after the Gunners made an impressive comeback to the UEFA Champions League, beating PSV Eindhoven 4-0 in the opening group fixture.

The midfielder further added: “I’m really excited for what’s to come here. I’ve found a place where I can be really settled and call my home”. “At Arsenal, since the first day, I’ve felt great and this is definitely my home”. Odegaard’s deal will now run till June 2028.

The Future Looks Bright

Odegaard’s decision to extend his contract serves as a signal of intent from the North London outfit. After agreeing to a deal with the Norwegian, the club’s sporting director Edu Gaspar, and Mikel Arteta have managed to tie down most of their impressive young core to long-term contracts. This includes the likes of Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Martinelli.
