How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently

With the transfer window now shut on all fronts, the manager will be able to focus on matters on the pitch. Of the four players that have left the squad, three are on a season loan. Timothy Castagne has made a permanent move to London-based side Fulham. Victor Kristiansen has made a loan move to Italian side Bologna and Luke Thomas has joined premiership outfit Sheffield United. Boubakary Soumare made a final-day loan move to Spanish side Sevilla.

Leicester City Recent Form and Tactics

The Midlands club currently sit in third place, one point off the leaders Preston North End.  Having registered six wins in a row to start the season and have created history, the manager will demand the players find winning ways again. The Italian manager also picked up the manager of the month award for August due to his 100% record.

It is quite clear to witness that despite the elevated position in the league, the performances are still not to the standard required by Maresca. The attacking style and fluidity demanded by the manager has been evident in small portions of the games to date but the coaching staff will be working hard to improve this.

The tactics will undoubtedly remain the same with Pereira acting as the spare man in midfield when Leicester are in attack. With more options now available on the wings, the team may look to use this as a more effective attacking tactic.

With no more uncertainty regarding player departures and arrivals, there will be big sighs of relief from all at the club. This will allow the team to settle and focus solely on matters on the football pitch. Speculation and rumours will have undoubtedly unsettled some at the club over the past few months. This can be put to rest until the next transfer window opens.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

Conor Coady has returned to training following the international break and could be part of the squad. Midfielder Dennis Praet is set to miss approximately 10 weeks with a back injury.  New signing Tom Cannon is injured with no idea of a timeframe on his return. There are no other injury concerns.

Leicester City Predicted Lineup

Mads Hermansen, Ricardo Pereira, Wout Faes, Callum Doyle, Jaanik Vestergaard, Harry Winks, Wilfred Ndidi, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Abdul Fatawu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kacey McAteer
