The journalist further claims that the Lilywhites believe they got an excellent deal with the English midfielder. He also adds: “I was told that they feel he’s going to be part of their present and future project under Ange Postecoglu.” It appears that the 26-year-old midfielder has fit in nicely at his new club after spending the last five years at Leicester City.

The England international moved to Spurs for a reported fee of around £40 million and was appointed as their vice-captain after the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich. He has taken no time to adapt and produced impressive performances, helping him become a fans favourite.

Maddison’s Early Impact at Tottenham

The 26-year-old midfielder has had a solid start to the new Premier League season for Spurs. He has started all their four Premier League matches so far, excelling in the attacking midfield role, adding a bright spark to the Spurs attack. In his four appearances this season, Maddison has scored twice and provided two assists.

He has also attracted praise from his teammates, with captain Son Heung-Min praising him for doing an “Amazing Job” so far in the early few weeks of the new campaign.
