‘Documents Completed’: Manchester United Complete Fourth Deadline Day Signing After Last Minute Transfer Progress

‘Verbal Agreement’: Man Utd Reach Agreement to Sign International Player - Medical Now Taking Place - Sergio Reguilon

Manchester United have been busy in the transfer window this Summer. The club’s excess number of injuries have forced coach Erik ten Hag to take action. While there have been stars who have joined the Red Devils like Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana, one deadline-day signing stole the show on Friday.

This has already been a fruitful deadline day as the team have completed the signings of Jonny Evans, Sergio Regulion, and Altay Bayindir.

Amrabat Deal Finishes Saga

Manchester United have seen the need to retool their midfield after a tepid start to the season. An injury to Casemiro would leave them short in combative midfielders with players like Mason Mount being more of an attacking force than a tenacious defensive presence.

In order to beef up the middle of the park the Red Devils have officially announced the signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on a loan. This comes very quickly after a Fabrizio Romano update about the “documents completed” which signalled the move was almost complete.

Marching into the Champions League

Old Trafford will host Champions League football again this season. Amrabat has already played in the competition with Dutch club Feyenoord, but the Red Devils will be looking to go very far in this year’s edition. Their group favours making it to the knockout rounds, but likely as a second seed.

Ten Hag’s side will play German giants Bayern Munich, Turkish standouts Galatasaray, and Danish league winners Copenhagen. The Premier League team should top the latter two, but this is not a good time for them to reignite their rivalry with Die Bayern, who thanks to their signing of Harry Kane possess a clear advantage that even the Amrabat signing will not cover.
