‘Fantastic’ Ex-Liverpool Player Set for a Return to the Premier League- Three Clubs Interested

According to Sky Sports, Divock Origi could be set for a return to the Premier League in the final hours of the transfer window. The former Liverpool star is on the list of three Premier League teams who are looking to add a goalscorer to their squad.

Reports coming out of Italy suggest that Origi could be set for a return to English football as he has attracted interest from as many as three Premier League clubs.

Burnley, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest are the clubs reported to be interested in signing the former Liverpool star. The aforementioned clubs are in search of a striker to add more goals to their attack. AC Milan had reportedly put the Belgian striker up for sale last week as he has failed to live up to the expectations since his move from Merseyside.

The former Belgium international is a proven Premier League striker as he showed in his time at Anfield. He played 175 games for the six-time Champions League winners and scored 41 goals for them.

The “fantastic” player delivered one of the most iconic UEFA Champions League moments in the English club’s history against Barcelona in the 2018/19 semifinals. He scored twice including the decisive goal in their legendary comeback.

Why Do These Clubs Need Divock Origi?

Burnley are one of the three newly promoted sides this season and will look to maintain their Premier League status for next season. Forest narrowly escaped relegation last season and would want to avoid such a situation this season.

Fulham on the other hand finished tenth last season. However, they lost their talismanic striker, Aleksandar Mitrovic, this summer to Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal. The signing of Divock Origi could give either of the three teams a massive boost for the upcoming season.
