How Leicester City Have Lined Up Recently

Manager Enzo Maresca is determined to implement his style of play, and the players have shown signs of this during the first few league games. The floating right back role has worked well, with Ricardo Pereira moving into a midfield role when the team are in possession. The rest of the team have settled reasonably well, with new signing Cesare Casadei making a dream debut last weekend, scoring an injury-time winning goal after coming on as a substitute.

It could be a very eventful few days for the Foxes, with potential new signings and outgoings before the end of the transfer window.

Leicester City Recent Form and Tactics

The Midlands club are only one of two teams to have picked up maximum points in the championship this season. Having won a tense opener against Coventry City at home – they then went on to take all three points away against Huddersfield and Cardiff City last weekend. The club have registered four wins in a row to start a season and have created history. They will be confident to add to this against Rotherham.

Although there can be no debates regarding the number of points secured, there is an argument that the style of play is not as forward-thinking as many would like. Maresca insists on a patient style of play, with the team building from the back. This will take time to embed, and the Filbert Way faithful – will have to display patience and belief in the manager and the team.

Dennis Praet is out injured with a muscle problem, with no clear timescale set for his return. Conor Coady is expected to be out of contention until the end of September at the earliest. Winger Kasey McAteer has been back in training after a foot injury and is in contention to start the game. The Italian manager has confirmed that there are no new injury concerns.
