It appears that David Moyes’ club have discreetly worked behind the scenes to ensure that the physical midfielder stays with them for the long term after having lost his partner Declan Rice to Arsenal.

Soucek enjoyed a prolific campaign with the Hammers in the 2022/23 season, scoring three goals and providing six assists across all competitions. He put in a string of impressive performances to help his side lift the UEFA Europa Conference League title and made 50 appearances, showcasing his impressive endurance levels to become a key player under Moyes.

West Ham are also reportedly trying to agree personal terms with Harry Maguire after agreeing on a deal with the Red Devils to sign their former captain. Amid all this, they seem to have convinced Soucek to tie himself down to the club for many years.

The 28-year-old, who was hailed  “incredible” by ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, has been a solid player for his side since joining from Slavia Prague in 2020.
