‘Incredible’ Liverpool Star’s Agent Now Responds to Reports Player Could Make Shock Exit

Liverpool fans have been given a positive message on the future of forward Mohamed Salah amid reports that he is attracting attention from clubs in the Saudi Pro League just before the season-opening clash against Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah’s Agent Makes Statement on Liverpool Future

What Did Salah’s Representative Have to Say?

A number of Premier League players have already left to join clubs in Saudi Arabia, which includes two former Liverpool players in Fabinho and Jordan Henderson – who recently completed their moves to Al Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq respectively.

However, after reports emerged that Salah is interested in joining a Saudi side next year, his agent Ramy Abbas Issa responded: “Neither Mohamed nor I discussed this with anyone.” In doing so, there is some confirmation that the Egyptian forward is not looking to leave Anfield anytime soon and remains focused on his current team.

As it stands, there does not seem to be any chance of another player from the Reds squad leaving them to move to Saudi Arabia. Salah only signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool last year, agreeing to a three-year deal that expires in 2025, so there is no real threat that the Merseyside club will lose him as a free agent next summer either.

What Is on Liverpool’s Agenda Right Now?

Instead of sales, the team are actually working on further improving their squad with the Premier League term poised to start on August 13 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Jurgen Klopp’s side are reported to be working on the signing of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and have made multiple bids for him.

They’ll aim to get that deal done soon to add more steel to their midfield line, which has been weakened by the departure of the two experienced midfielders. However, their frontline remains very strong with Salah, who had nine goal contributions in pre-season, in good form. The Egyptian winger, who was hailed for his “incredible” goal-scoring record last season, will aim to start the 2023-24 campaign strongly after scoring 30 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions last term.
