He now states that the 19-year-old chose to join Spurs despite having approaches from another top European side. He will be signing a five-year contract that will run up until 2028,  and the transfer deal is reported to be worth around £12.9 million.

Romano claims that Spurs have currently planned to ensure that Veliz does not leave on loan to Rosario Central for the 2023/24 season. It’s also added that a decision on what to do with him for the campaign will be made soon and that documents for the finalization of the transfer will be completed in the next 24-48 hours. It’s clear that they will seal the signing of the teenager soon, but the Lilywhites are yet to decide on whether to loan him or not.
