Future of Greenwood at Old Trafford
Greenwood remains suspended by Manchester United while the club investigate his conduct. The United striker hasn’t played for the club since January 2022 after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault. Following the initial arrests, he was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and making threats to kill.

When discussing the future of Greenwood, Ten Hag insisted “It’s a club decision.” The Dutchman mentioned he’s had his say regarding the future of the suspended attacker. “I shared my opinions but it’s a club decision and we all have to accept that.” During the press conference, Ten Hag expressed his wish to improve the United attack.

Manchester United Need to Improve Their Firepower
Following the signings of Mason Mount and Andre Onana, it appears Manchester United’s next signing will be a striker. After losing Cristiano Ronaldo last season, the Red Devils struggled for goals, with Wout Weghorst disappointing on loan and Anthony Martial missing parts of the season through injury. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Rasmus Hojlund, as the Old Trafford giants look to improve their goalscoring department.

During the press conference, Ten Hag was asked about keeping Greenwood. “I can’t say so much about it but I shared my opinion about it, so let’s see what’s going to happen.” Despite remaining tight-lipped on the future of the young forward, it appears a decision is due imminently, with Manchester United keen to improve their firepower for the coming season.
