‘Will Complete the Deal’: Fabrizio Romano Drops Man Utd Transfer ‘Bomb’ as ‘Monster’ Agrees to Join

Fabrizio Romano has dropped yet another transfer “bomb” as the transfer market gets into full swing, revealing that it’s just a “matter of days” before Manchester United “will complete the deal” for Andre Onana to join.

Positive talks have been held between United and Inter recently, with a final bid soon to arrive. Personal terms have been agreed with the 27-year-old, with the Red Devils hoping Onana will link up with the squad in time for their pre-season tour in the USA.

Manchester United to ‘Seal’ Onana Deal

Romano has revealed that the Cameroonian goalkeeper, described by one fan as a “monster”, agreed to join United on a five-year deal days ago, and is keen to make the move to the Premier League.

According to reports, Erik ten Hag’s side have already launched an unsuccessful £43 million bid for the Champions League finalist, however, United and Inter remained locked in negotiations, with £47 million seemingly enough for the 19-time Seria A winners.

Ongoing Goalkeeping Saga

Drawn-out negotiations for Onana have also affected the futures of current Manchester United goalkeepers David de Gea, Dean Henderson, and Tom Heaton.

The Old Trafford outfit have still not clarified the future of Premier League Golden Glove winner De Gea, whose current Manchester United contract has expired, leading to a series of cryptic tweets from the Spaniard.

Ten Hag is reluctant to see veteran goalkeeper Heaton depart his boyhood club, with the Telegraph reporting a deal with Luton Town was blocked by the Dutchman, as the fallout from the goalkeeping saga continues.

Nottingham Forest retain their interest in signing former loanee Henderson. The Whitehaven-born man made 18 league appearances for them last season before a thigh injury saw him sidelined for the rest of the season. Forest are reportedly willing to pay the £30m price tag for the England goalkeeper, who has previously publicly criticised his treatment at his current club.

As the Onana transfer approaches its completion, the Club’s hierarchy will look to shape the squad for the future.
