Despite being the first-choice attacking option for the Blues over the past year it appears that both the 23-year-old and new manager Mauricio Pochettino are happy for a split to occur. Fabrizio Romano has reported that the player himself is open to starting a new chapter in his career after making just under 150 appearances for Chelsea.

Per Kinsella, new manager Pochettino is looking for a different striker to lead his attack. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has been hit and miss in front of the goal at Stamford Bridge, netting just 32 times in 139 games including just nine in the 2022/23 term. The Argentine will need to get his new club firing and it appears there will be a new face trusted with this task.
