Romano states in his update that United are confident they can agree on a new long-term contract with the Portuguese defender. Dalot moved to Old Trafford on Jun 6, 2018, on a five-year contract from FC Porto. Then Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was full of praise for the incoming defender, describing him as “extremely talented” with all the attributes to succeed at the club.
