Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Team 2 – Predictions and Best Odds

Wolverhampton Wanderers Current Run of Form

Wolves are on a fairly complex run of form, with Julen Lopetegui’s side picking up seven points in the last six matches. However, this includes a victory against Tottenham Hotspur alongside a loss to a disappointing AFC Bournemouth. Having scored the equal fewest goals of any Premier League side this season, the Midlands side will look to their strikers to score for the first time in over a year.

Leeds United Current Run of Form

Leeds United’s form has improved over the past couple of weeks, with Javi Gracia taking over from Jesse Marsch after the American’s removal from the role of manager at the Yorkshire club. The last three matches have seen a victory over Southampton, a narrow loss to Chelsea and a hard-fought battle with Brighton & Hove Albion ending in a 2-2 draw. With key attacking players Rodrigo and Luis Sinisterra returning to fitness, fans are going to hope that strong performances can start turning into wins.

Recent Head to Head

Since the Whites’ return to the Premier League the two sides have been closely matching one another. Wolves managed to beat a second-string Leeds team in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season, just three months after Rodrigo and an own goal from Rayan Ait-Nouri gave the Yorkshire club all three points at Elland Road. Matches between the two tend to be dramatic, and with both sides having changed their managers since their last league meeting this could be tactically fascinating.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Leeds United Prediction

Leeds United have been missing one thing so far this season, and that is finishing. Losing Rodrigo against Accrington Stanley was the start of a poor run of form that saw the team fail to put away clear chances, and reintroducing the Spaniard to the squad could see him make a real difference to the side’s final product. Against a Wolves side also lacking attacking consistency, this feels like a match where Javi Gracia’s side will create more chances and have the resources to finish them. A narrow victory for the away side.
