16-Year-Old ‘Fantastic’ Forward Confirms Move to Manchester United

Manchester United have completed the signing of young striker Gabriele Biancheri, the 16-year-old has confirmed on his Instagram account. He joins United after their Carabao Cup final win and will be added to the Red Devils’ youth academy.

Biancheri’s arrival follows his exit from Championship side Cardiff City.

Biancheri Buzzing to Join United

The young talent is the latest to join up with the Manchester club’s famous academy and will probably play for their U18 team going forward. Biancheri has the chance to represent Wales, England or Italy at international level because of his roots.

He has joined the Red Devils as a scholar after completing his medicals earlier this month and will only be able to sign a professional contract with United later this year. Biancheri is excited to join the Premier League side, as he wrote on his Instagram: “Ready for the next chapter! Let’s go @manchesterunited ❤️”

The 16-year-old has also posed wearing a United shirt, confirming that he has now joined the club and is ready to take a leap forward in his career. He will now have to fight it out and produce some big numbers at the youth level to impress manager Erik ten Hag and fast-track his route to the senior level.

Who Is Biancheri?

Gabriele Biancheri earned his reputation while playing for the youth sides of Cardiff City. He scored 17 goals and provided five assists for the Welsh side’s under-16s side and was called up to the under-21 side as well because of his impressive form.

The 16-year-old has been described as a ‘pacy, sharp and dynamic forward’ who can play in multiple roles across the frontline. He can also operate as a no.9, a position where United have been trying to promote talents from their youth academy for many years. Biancheri was labelled ‘fantastic‘ for stepping up for the Cardiff youth side by under-18s manager Steve Jenkins – indicating that the Red Devils might’ve acquired a potentially major talent for the future.
