United to Push for Rashford Extension

Romano calls Rashford as a ‘top player’ and claims that top sides are informed of his current contract situation at Old Trafford. He wrote for CaughtOffside: “Ten Hag really wanted Rashford as face of Man Utd project since day one. Of course top clubs are informed on the contract situation, but I’m also sure Man United will push again in the next months to get it done; it’s top priority.”

This comes after it was reported that Erik ten Hag and the board have both agreed that it was absolutely necessary to prioritize the contract extension for Rashford, after having triggered a one-year renewal to extend his current contract until 2024.

Rashford Enjoying Highly Prolific Season

Rashford is on cloud nine at United right now and is leading the charge for the Red Devils in their quest to end their five-year-long trophy drought this season. He has 35 goal contributions in all competitions for the club, including 24 goals and nine assists.

The 25-year-old is really enjoying playing football again after losing his way under Ralf Rangnick last term. He’s even scored in seven consecutive games at Old Trafford and seems to be loving playing in front of his home fans. While the forward appears to be happy with his situation, he is yet to give any major hints about wanting to sign a new long-term contract – with United likely to prioritize getting him to re-up before the end of the season.
