Fabrizio Romano Reveals Asking Price for ‘Fantastic’ 26-Goal Chelsea Star

Christian Pulisic

Chelsea are ready to sell 24-year-old forward Christian Pulisic in the summer transfer window, confirms Fabrizio Romano.

The winger has struggled with injuries after the World Cup and has found regular playing time a rarity throughout his time at the club.

Chelsea to Consider Christian Pulisic Exit Depending on Proposals

After having signed a number of new wingers in January, including Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk and Noni Madueke from PSV Eindhoven, the Blues need to cut down their squad. Hakim Ziyech failed a deadline-day loan move to PSG and Romano adds that Chelsea had planned to try and offload Christian Pulisic in January too.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “According to my information, Chelsea were open to letting him go in January. But Christian Pulisic had an injury so it was impossible to proceed with a solution. There is a possibility for him to leave in the summer, and it will depend on the proposals.”

The transfer guru also added that the Blues have set an asking price of £35 million for the captain of the USMNT ahead of the summer transfer window. They already have a lot of wingers at the club and Pulisic appears to have lost his place in the first-team squad – despite having a largely impressive World Cup campaign with his national team.

Pulisic’s Chelsea Career

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 – making him the most expensive American player in history. However, he has struggled with injury problems for the last few years and has failed to earn a permanent role in the team as a result.

Christian Pulisic has gone on to make 136 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists across all competitions. He won the 2020/21 Champions League title with the club as well as the FIFA Club World Cup too.

Despite being hailed as ‘fantastic’ by his former national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann, Pulisic has struggled to make a substantial impact at Chelsea, and a move away from the club could be the catalyst he needs to revive his career.
