Chelsea are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the transfer of Moroccan international, Hakim Ziyech, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Blues are looking to trim the squad in light of their recent acquisitions in the January transfer window. PSG on the other hand are looking to add more depth to the squad, with UEFA Champions League matches just around the corner.

PSG Manager Wants More Depth in Attack
Christophe Galtier, the manager of the Parisian club, recently admitted to trying to sign some attacking players in the January transfer window. With Spanish international Pablo Sarabia joining Wolverhampton Wanderers, the defending French champions have been left thin in the attacking department.
Former Barcelona man and Zenit star, Malcom was their primary transfer target, but that deal has fallen through. So now, Les Parisiens have turned their attention towards Hakim Ziyech.
Hakim Ziyech’s Moroccan Connection at PSG
The 29-year-old Blues winger is hoping for a transfer to the French capital. The move would see him reunite with international teammate Achraf Hakimi. Since making the switch to West London, the former Ajax man has seen sporadic playing time under managers Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. After leading his nation to a historic semi-final appearance in the World Cup, Ziyech will be hoping to get more consistent playing time at club level.
PSG and Chelsea Discussing a Loan Move for Winger
The Ligue 1 leaders want a loan move for the Moroccan with an option to buy in the summer. However, Chelsea want the loan move to be coupled with an obligation to buy. With the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke signing for the club in January, Ziyech is bound to fall further down the pecking order with Potter.
With the transfer window closing in a few hours, both clubs have to act fast to come to an agreement for the winger.
