Leeds United vs West Ham United – Predictions and Best Odds

Leeds United Current Run of Form

Leeds United are currently an odd run of form, coming out of two difficult fixtures with a single point against Newcastle United. Some fans are concerned about the quality of football in these matches, but it could equally just be a sign of playing passively against some of the best teams in the league. Before the international break, the Whites were playing well, securing results against Bournemouth and Liverpool with a narrow loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

West Ham United Current Run of Form

West Ham United are far from the form they would hope for. With five consecutive losses weighing the Hammers down, the club is at serious risk of relegation in spite of significant investment in the summer. The only potential bright spot for the club is a draw against Fulham in a recent friendly, but fans haven’t seen a competitive win since the start of November.

Recent Head to Head

Recent results haven’t tended to go the way of the Yorkshire club. Leeds’ only win since 2005 came last January, when winger Jack Harrison scored a hat trick at the London Stadium. The Hammers will look to capitalise on this and start to rebuild their season.

Leeds United vs West Ham United Prediction

Although home fans may worry about recent form, the lack of quality that Leeds United have shown recently could be put down to incredibly passive tactics. On the other hand, West Ham’s recent performances show a real gap in quality, with David Moyes’ job potentially in danger. If the whites put together a strong enough lineup, there’s no reason that Jesse Marsch’s men couldn’t blow the London side out of the water.
