A late Vincent Aboubakar goal sunk Brazil in their final group-stage game. This brought their lengthy unbeaten run to an end, although they did operate with a largely rotated first team. When at full strength, they are one of the most dominant teams in international football.

South Korea Run of Form

It’s quite easy to overlook South Korea but they have been playing good football this year. They started 2022 by winning three of their first four games to make their way through the qualifying stage, they then made it to the final of the East Asian Cup.

They showed great resilience to make it through Group H, although they faced a rotated Portugal team in the final game.

There have been seven meetings between these two nations, with the latest being in June 2022. The Selecao have only lost one of these games, winning the other six. Their match in June ended in a 5-1 win thanks to a Neymar brace.

Tite’s team is likely to walk though this one. The quality difference between the teams is to vast for it to be overcome by the Reds. If their friendly from earlier this year is anything to go by, this could be a slaughter.
