Chelsea Women have been active in this transfer window, with several players coming through the doors. With some time left in the window, the team could be on the verge of pulling off a blockbuster move for Grace Geyoro.
The Telegraph is reporting that Emma Hayes’ side are prepared to offer a “women’s football world record transfer fee” for the 25-year-old. The club has previously broken the women’s transfer record when they signed Pernille Harder for a fee in excess of £250,000 in September of 2020.

The French international midfielder is a great player who has been an ever-present part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad since 2016. She was the driving force behind the team’s recent successes which included a Division 1 Feminine win in 2020/21 and two Coupe de France Feminine wins, as well as two Champions League runner-up medals.
According to The Telegraph’s report, the Blues would almost have to double the record fee they paid for Harder in order to entice Geyoro away from Paris.

Player Keen On The Move
As per The Telegraph, the player herself is keen on the move having spoken highly of Chelsea in a recent interview with RMC Sport, confessing her desire to leave Paris and “know something else“, which will encourage the current Women’s Super League champions in their pursuit of the French international star.
If signed, the midfielder will be paired up with former Lyon rival Kadeisha Buchanan who made the move to London earlier this summer. The French midfielder would become the eighth signing of the off-season for the Blues who have also picked up Buchanan, Eve Perisset, and Katerina Svitkova among others.
