Erik ten Hag Confirms He and Manchester United Forward Are on ‘One Page’

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to stay at Manchester United this summer based on comments from manager Erik ten Hag.

According to the new Red Devils boss, he and the forward are “all on one page” with the Portuguese attacker set to remain at Old Trafford beyond the transfer deadline.

He also claims that the player has always been a part of his vision for his new side, saying: “From the start, we said we planned with him….”

Does He Fit In?

The Dutch manager faced questions over whether or not he believes the 37-year-old is a fit for his style of play. These concerns were brushed off with the statement “…he knows what the demands are”. Ten Hag even went so far as to proclaim “he will fit in every system or every style.”

Despite the concerns that fans may have, the man at the helm at Old Trafford has no worries about the former Real Madrid star.

Fitness aside, there will almost always be a place in a team for a player like Ronaldo. Even as he has aged, his penchant for goalscoring has been something to behold. In his return to the Premier League last season, he was a dominant force with 24 goals to his name.

His striking record is awe-inspiring and has been for over a decade now.

His tally while in Madrid was an eye-popping 450 goals in 438 appearances and he followed this up with a stint in Serie A with Juventus where he finished with 101 goals scored in 134 appearances.

Putting the ball in the net is no issue for the veteran and that will ensure he has a place in the squad for the foreseeable future.
