No Movement Around Any Transfer for Napoli Striker

However, Romano has set the record straight and claimed that there will be no movement whatsoever over any kind of deal.

He also adds that such rumours are ‘wide of the mark’. Moreover, the Red Devils are also expected to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka as part of the squad for this season – as confirmed by Erik ten Hag himself in a recent press conference. That means United haven’t been able to make any kind of progress on their pursuit of Barcelona defender Sergino Dest either.

United’s Attacking Options as Deadline Day Closes In

With the Manchester side now looking unlikely to sign a striker like Osimhen, who was dubbed as ‘phenomenal’ by renowned Italian manager Walter Mazzarri last season, it looks like they will move out of the window with a similar frontline to what they started the campaign with.

Cristiano Ronaldo tried his best to negotiate an exit from Old Trafford all through the summer, but it now looks like he will end up staying with United. Antony, who the Red Devils have officially agreed to sign, has been brought on board to improve Ten Hag’s attacking options and add something new to the right-wing position.

As it stands, it looks likely that the Manchester side will have three prominent no.9 options this season – which includes Ronaldo, Anthony Martial (who is currently injured) and Marcus Rashford, although the Englishman is more of a winger. The Dutch gaffer will just have to hope they can bring the goals for his side and not make him regret missing out on an out-and-out striker.
