Red Devils Willing to Make Brazilian Midfielder One of Their Highest-Paid Players
The Manchester side sent a delegation to speak with the Brazilian midfielder earlier this week, reveals Ornstein. While there is no agreement between either of the parties yet, the talks between United and the La Liga side are progressing. The Red Devils are optimistic that a deal can be done.
Casemiro has himself given positive indications of joining Erik ten Hag’s side after initial talks and he will also become one of the club’s highest-paid players if a deal goes through. However, Ornstein also claims that United are willing to double the salary which the 30-year-old receives at the Santiago Bernabeu are “off the mark.”

United’s Chase for Casemiro Might End Frenkie de Jong Saga
United are admirers of Casemiro’s ability, as well as his character and professionalism on and off the pitch. He is known to have an “elite pedigree” as a defensive midfielder after being called ‘up there with the best midfielders, if not the best on the planet’ by rival and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets last season.
The Red Devils are hopeful that the 30-year-old can also help unlock the potential of Fred, his national teammate, and allow him to play in a more advanced position. Of course, if they are able to get a deal done for Casemiro, it would mark the end of the Manchester side’s chase for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong – Ornstein also states.
