Manchester United Make £110 Million Offer for Incredible Striker; Huge Decision Already Made

Joao Felix

Manchester United have made an offer of around £110 million for Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid, according to Matteo Moretto of Relevo. The report also reveals that Felix has already made a hugely important decision: he does not want to leave. This will give United fans flashbacks to the early stages of their pursuit of Frenkie de Jong, with the excitement of a large bid but the disappointment of the player in question being unwilling to make the move.

United in a Bad Situation

There is no understating how bad the Red Devils’ situation is at the moment.

Having lost their first two games of the Premier League season in embarrassing style, they are now frantically searching the transfer market for solutions. As previously mentioned, they have been chasing Barcelona man Frenkie de Jong for some time, but with the Dutchman showing no signs of changing his mind and wanting to join them, they have had to look elsewhere despite the length of time spent on this one deal.

According to Jason Burt of the Telegraph, they are interested in the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Christian Pulisic, Sergiño Dest, and Thomas Meunier, among others. This rather mismatched group of players could each do a job at Old Trafford, but they certainly show the desparation of where Erik ten Hag has found himself.

With just two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Burt’s report claims that the Manchester side are aiming to conclude five more deals, in particular a backup goalkeeper to challenge David de Gea, two midfielders, a striker, and a right-back.
