With the new Premier League campaign now just days away, a Manchester United trio could be set to make loan moves away from Old Trafford. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that he believes Amad Diallo, Tahith Chong and Facundo Pellistri will all be playing their football elsewhere during the forthcoming season.
Manchester United Trio Going on Loan in Search of More Minutes
What’s Next for the Manchester United Trio
Amad Diallo arrived in England having played just a few games with Serie A side Atalanta and has gone on to see very few minutes with United, leading to a loan move to Rangers. Whilst he featured more in Scotland, it wasn’t as successful as many were hoping even though he managed 3 goals in ten appearances.
Moving to Tahith Chong and he also has previously been loaned out. In the past, the Dutch youth player had gone to play for Club Brugge and Werder Bremen in Belgium and Germany respectively. Last term, Birmingham City beckoned and he hit the ground running. The St Andrews faithful were very excited when watching him- the output may not have been there but his dribbling abilities were clear for all to see.
Finally then, is Facundo Pellistri. He has 6 caps with Uruguay to his name despite being just 20 years of age. Alongside his international acclaim, he has played thirty-three times for La Liga side Deportivo Alaves across two different loan spells.
Unpopular opinion but Facundo Pellistri’s pure talent is up there with the very, very best. I really hope he works hard because Ten Hag can form him into a truly formidable player pic.twitter.com/WlMERjC3ME

All in all, the trio aren’t unfamiliar to loan moves and so it wouldn’t come as a shock if they all departed.

Their Careers at Old Trafford So Far
As previously mentioned, none of the Manchester United trio have seen regular football at the Theatre of Dreams. In this pre-season, there has of course been a fair bit of rotation and experimenting. Over the weekend, Erik ten Hag’s side were in action twice with two fairly different teams being deployed.
On Saturday morning, they lost to Atletico Madrid with Fred seeing red to make matters worse. Alongside new man Christian Eriksen, Pellistri was sent on during the second half. He went on with fifteen minutes left only to be taken off again just before full-time. The following day, they played out a draw at Old Trafford against Rayo Vallecano. Chong played eighty-five minutes whilst Diallo came on at the break and scored the opener.
The Manchester United trio all have significant interest whether it be from abroad or lower Premier League teams and the Championship. There is much to be said about the various different paths available. In Romano’s words; “I believe there’s a good chance Tahith Chong, Facundo Pellistri, and Amad Diallo will all go on loan this summer.”
