Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo have been offered to Chelsea, reports Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard. Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling their Brazilian star while Ronaldo’s representatives, not Manchester United, have been in touch regarding the Portuguese legend.
Despite these offers, Kinsella states that Thomas Tuchel isn’t being swayed by the superstars on offer and is focused solely on the chase of Raheem Sterling. Despite this, higher-ups at Chelsea could be interested in signing the 37-year-old Ronaldo according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Thomas Tuchel Hesitant Over Signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar
The Portuguese legend has made it clear that he wants a move away from Old Trafford, citing inactivity in the transfer market as a big reason why he wants to leave. The 37-year-old has since missed the first day of training for what Fabrizio Romano reports was “due to family reasons.”
The Athletic report states that Todd Boehly has had meetings with Jorde Mendes (Ronaldo’s agent) and is interested in the idea of signing such an iconic player. Other directors, specifically Behdad Eghbali, are keen to recruit the footballing legend.

PSG have not been shy about their desire to offload the Brazilian this summer. The French side are open to selling and the player is keen on a move to the Premier League but his wage packet would be unpayable. Neymar has previously stated a desire to remain with the club through to the end of his contract which may be the most likely outcome.
Thomas Tuchel Resilient
Both Kinsella and Ornstein agree that Tuchel is hesitant to sign these superstar players, largely due to the inability of Romelu Lukaku to fit into Chelsea’s high-pressing style of play. In addition, he is worried that it would upset the balance of the squad, instead hoping that the team focuses on signings like Sterling and Raphinha.
