Andreas Pereira to Remain in Premier League Following Flamengo Loan

Last summer, Andreas Pereira returned to Brazil when joining Flamengo on a year-long loan. That loan expires on June 30 and it was expected he might join them permanently at the end of it.

With no fee agreed, Pereira had been set to return to Old Trafford, however, now looks likely to divert to Craven Cottage on his return to England.

The 26-year-old has had a mixed time in Brazil, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 48 games. Notably, it was his error that cost Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores final v Palmeiras.

Since Paulo Sousa’s appointment as head coach, Pereira struggled to maintain a starting spot in the team. With Sousa gone, he has been a regular in Dorival Junior’s few games to date.
